The Truth About A Game Of Thrones Sequel

After becoming so invested in the story and characters, it's hard to move on from Game of Thrones. But the producers, writers, and actors behind the series have left Westeros behind for new projects, and it looks like there's no going back. Here's why you shouldn't expect a Game of Thrones sequel anytime soon.

Ready for a season nine of Game of Thrones? What about a tenth? HBO President of Programming Casey Bloys is on record as having been willing to back many more seasons of the smash hit series. But instead of forcing the show to continue indefinitely, he allowed the creative team to make the ultimate decision regarding when it would end. Apparently, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss knew how they wanted the ending to go for a long time, and Bloys let them wrap things up on their terms. And that ending, it seems, is pretty definitive. When asked about potential sequel series that may be in the works, Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter:

"Nope, nope, nope. No. Part of it is, I do want this show...to be its own thing. I don't want to take characters from this world that they did beautifully and put them off into another world with someone else creating it."

In other words, don't hold out hope for that Arya Goes West spinoff.

Author George R.R. Martin is supposed to be working diligently on The Winds of Winter, but he's also found time to publish several books plotting out hundreds of years of Westerosi history. There is a wealth of material set in the past, and HBO has flirted with adapting more than a few stories for television. Keep watching the video to find out the truth about a Game of Thrones sequel!

well whenever you like it or not there will 100% be a sequel, lets say 110% even, they gave us alot of hints of it in season 8 and specially in the last episode of the show, also there are too much money involved so simple as that

The only reason fans even watched the last season of Game of Thrones was because the Lannisters were interesting. No one wants to see Arya dumb shit exploring the west. The whole reason Arya is a fan favorite in the first place is that she has amazing dialogue with The Hound and Tywin Lannister. The reason we love GOT is because of its Politics, not that it has cringe characters who want to explore different worlds

Thats ok for now I have GRRM 7 seasons to enjoy , as far as David Benioff , DB Weis , and Casey Bloys they can f** off Ill just boycott HBO subscription and anything D&D put their slimey hands on ie : Star Wars . If Casey Bloys is that stupid and arrogant to see how F'd up seaon 8 was then he needs to get FIRED if he was smart he would scrap it and go back to the drawing board (FOR THE FANS SAKE) with new competent creative talented writers

A Game of Thrones Sequel Movie Trilogy that could bring about a more epic conclusion would be a massive hit for HBO. Those movies/films would be such a success. As long as, D&D don't do it!

I have a question. How did they found out that Jon killed Dany with a knife in her heart if the dragon took her away? Did Jon told everyone that he did it. Was he that stupid?

People so forget season seven and why season eight happened the way it did. In seven Danny and Missandei were talking about the prophecy and said, "The Long Night is coming. Only the prince who was promised can bring the dawn."

Dany, explaining why she doesn't want to storm King's Landing with her dragons:
"I am not here to be Queen of the Ashes." But she did lay waste to King's Landing because she hate what the people did to her father. So she wasn't the choosen one.

Jon could have been but would never have taken it no matter what. Bran was the perfect choice to restart because he had nothing to gain. No legacy, no children and he knows the history, true history of the world

I think it's going to be something like "the office' where people or Kings landing try to rebuild. It will be a comedy.
