HOW TO: Send a GoPro to Space!

I'm back, baby! Today I'm gonna show you guys how to launch your very own high altitude weather balloon, up to altitudes of 120,000ft! I tried to go over every important aspect of launching a weather balloon, but I'm bound to have missed something. If you have any questions at all, just drop a comment down below and I'll get to you asap! I've included links to the various supplies, calculators, and references to FAA regulation down below. Make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it, and don't forget to hit that subscribe button. I'll catch you in the next one!

You know you're living in a third world country when you're still using imperial units. For engineering. Christ.

Hi! Quick question, did you have any problems with the cameras at such a high altitude? Did the cold affect them in any way?

you should have said it was dangerous so no one would take it. You should have written that it is highly radioactive and property of the US air force and stealing would result in 20 years in jail. With the phone number. :)

GoPro in the Space it sounds super interesting, but I just bought my new 8 so I probably just want to watch it when others do. I want to try to send it up 4 - 5 meters at some point in the future (and of course have a line in it). Many thanks for an exciting channel.

The Go-Pro has a fish-angle lens, so it makes the Earth look concave or convex, depending on the angle. Earth is a plane, not a globe.
